First ER visit
I had my first Emergency Room visit at age 5. I was jumping on the bed and missed the landing zone and fell on my head on the floor -which was concrete slab covered with linoleum tiles. I was bleeding from my ear and once x-rayed, found to have a skull fracture. The spinal fluid was clear, however, so evidently no brain damage was done! I don't really remember this visit too well - just remember crying a lot. Since I must have an extraordinarily hard skull (you might say I was thick-headed,) this and other falls hitting my head have left no permanent mark. In fact, I was 50 years old before my next bone fracture!
