Before Scanners

I am one of those overly polite people who always let in the car waiting (one exception - if he has ignored the "right lane closed ahead" signs posted every 50 feet for the last mile and a half, he can just dang well wait.) Anyway, at the grocery store buying the Christmas feast, I had a flashback to the days before scanners when all goods had price stickers on them. I was such a polite person that I always grouped like items together for ease of multiplying and always placed the price sticker on top so it would be easily seen. Not to pat myself on the back, just a funny remembrance.
